Who we are
Living Word Uganda is an evangelical non-denominational initiative born out of the commitment to serving Christian university students and local churches by equipping them with tools and skills for faithful Bible handling and teaching.
We believe that when clearly taught, God’s Word, by God’s power, is alive and active to radically change lives. We long to see God’s Word faithfully taught across Uganda, trusting God that then His gospel will be received not simply with words, but also with power, with the Holy Spirit and with deep conviction.
Our Ministry Programs
Apprentice Ministry Training
We equip gifted men and women in faithful Bible teaching and gospel proclamation while serving under the mentorship of a local pastor and the congregation.
Professionals Ministry Training
Professionals Ministry Training (PMT) is a program designed to equip committed and gifted members of the local church with the necessary skills and tools to effectively handle the Bible for ministry.
Rooted Student Ministry
We equip students with tools for faithful Bible handling through national and regional conferences and seminars, as well as campus Bible studies.
Equip The Church
We equip pastors and lay people in exegesis, hermeneutics and expository preaching through periodic pastors’ gatherings and local church seminars.
At His Feet Women's Ministry
We equip and encourage women to study God’s word faithfully in order to grow in godliness and fruitfulness.
Book Distribution Ministry
We avail authentic Christian literature, provide library space for study, and publish Biblical material for the Church.

and I wondered what I could
learn in a week, we studied
the book of Jonah, and this
opened my mind to a lot of
things in the bible especially
how to interpret, understand
and apply God’s words. It’s my desire that in the next seminar,
more leaders are included in
it, and if you could conduct
a two to three day’s training
of trainee’s seminar, more
institutions can be covered,
especially if the right persons
are equipped with the Bible
study tools! I hope to teach/
equip others with Bible study
techniques acquired. May

Ministry Updates
The National Women's Conference
Living Word Uganda held its National Women’s Conference on 19–20 October 2026 at Lugogo Baptist Church, bringing together nearly 100 women for a time of Bible teaching, fellowship, and encouragement. Carrie Sandom taught from 1 Samuel, helping participants explore the book’s message and its connections to the gospel of Jesus Christ. The women also gathered in small groups to study Scripture together and deepen their fellowship. Each participant received a copy of Enjoying Jesus as a gift. We thank God for a fruitful conference and for the opportunity to equip women to faithfully understand and apply His Word.

Before the Thanksgiving and Commissioning celebrations, our apprentices had a time to relax, have fun, and celebrate the journey they had shared together.
From lessons and preaching groups to friendships and unforgettable moments, it has been a rich season of growth. We’re grateful for all that God has done through the AMT journey. 🙏
